I wanted to leave a message for those who are close kinfolks that we lost another family member. Ellen Leyfield, who is about my age, probably my 2nd or 3rd cousin on my Dad's side of the family passed away yesterday from cancer. Ellen had been battling this cancer for some time now and finally succumbs to it. I was able to visit her with my Dad a month or so ago at her home in Jonesboro Louisiana. Dad and I prayed for her and I anointed her with oil and pray faithfully that the Lord would take this sickness from her.
I'm not sure why, but I'm sure God has plans and it was her time to meet him. I felt a very close Godly spirit with our visit to Ellen's home and I just pray that God will touch and be with the family during this time of loss. She had gone thru much pain and suffering with this cancer, and now she isn't suffering any longer. I just pray that God will be with all the family as they travel the highways the next couple of days to visit and be at the funeral. Ellen we'll miss you and please save a place for the rest of us when our time on earth as run. I love you and can't wait to see you again in Heaven someday.
If you can't find me when my time has come: Don't look beneath the gates of Pearl, Don't look on the streets of Gold, Don't look by the walls of Jasper, Nor among the many sights untold, But, There I'll be through the countless ages, look for me at Jesus' feet. Oh yes, I'll be there through the countless ages, look for me a Jesus' feet.
We Love you and Miss you Ellen.
